Dark Chocolate Chip Cookies

Who doesn’t love chocolate chip cookies?? And if you enjoy dark chocolate, you’ll love this recipe! Quick and easy, you will continue to make this over and over again. (Maybe even multiple times a week!)

Prep Time: 15 minutes
Chill Time: 20 minutes
Cook Time: 12-14 minutes
Yields 12 Cookies

Ingredients:
1 ¼ cup all-purpose flour (sifted)

½ teaspoon baking soda

½ cup granulated sugar

¾ cups golden brown sugar, packed

½ teaspoon salt

1 stick of unsalted butter (melted)

1 teaspoon vanilla

1 egg

1/3 cup semi-sweet chocolate

Dark chocolate pieces to place on top of dough (chopped)

Directions:

Melt your stick of unsalted butter in a large bowl and add the brown sugar, granulated sugar, and mix all together until smooth.

In another bowl, combine your flour, salt, and baking soda and give it a good mix. Add in your egg and vanilla.

Pour your butter/sugar mixture into your flour bowl and mix all together with a spatula.

Mix in your semi-sweet chocolate into the bowl. Cover your bowl with plastic wrap and place in the fridge for 20 minutes to chill. At this time, preheat your oven to 350.

With an ice cream scoop or large spoon, scoop your cookies onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper about 3 inches apart.

Take your chopped dark chocolate pieces and gently press them on top of your cookie dough without flattening the dough.

Bake for 12-14 minutes until the edges or tops start to brown. You don’t want them to bake longer than 15 minutes. Let them cool and enjoy!

Happy Eating!
