Easy No-Knead Artisan Loaf

This is a no-fuss, easy-peasy recipe that you’re guaranteed to make over and over again! It requires no kneading and is ultra tasty! **Please note: This bread loaf does require a dutch oven to bake in.

Prep Time: 10 minutes
Rise Time: 1.5 hour
Bake Time: 40-45 minutes

Ingredients:

3 cups bread flour (unbleached preferred)

2 tsp salt

2 tsp active dry yeast

1 tablespoon honey

1 1/2 cups warm water (about 110 degrees)

Directions:

In a large mixing bowl, combine all your ingredients together until fully incorporated. The dough is ready to rest/rise once it starts coming off the sides of the bowl.

Cover the bowl with a light kitchen towel and let it rise for 1.5 hour. If your house is cold, you may need to let it rise for 2.5 hours.

30 minutes before you start baking, preheat your oven to 450 degrees with your Dutch oven inside.

On a lightly floured surface, gently stretch your dough into a 6x10 rectangle.

Take each corner and fold it into the center of the dough.

Roll the dough into itself and form a tight ball.

Transfer the dough onto a large piece of parchment paper.

With a sharp knife or blade, score the top of the dough with a “x”.

Place the dough with the parchment paper into the Dutch oven. Cover with the lid and bake for 30 minutes.

Remove the lid and bake for 8-10 minutes, depending on how crisp you like it. If you want it crunchier, you can bake it up to 15 minutes total.

Place the bread on a cooling rack and let it cool for 20-30 minutes to allow the loaf to rest. Plus, you don’t want to burn yourself trying to cut into it too soon! Enjoy!

Happy eating!
